I had such a chill time here! The staff was super friendly and made me feel right at home. Plus, it's in a fantastic spot, just a short walk from iconic places like Sun Yat-sen and the 101. The vibe is relaxed, which I loved after a day of sightseeing. Really enjoyed hanging out in the common area with fellow travelers!
One downside was the breakfast—just some toast and spreads, which wasn’t super exciting. the bathrooms could use some updates; they felt a bit outdated and not the most convenient. But overall, my stay was enjoyable!

I had such a great time at this place! The staff was super friendly and made me feel right at home. Seriously, they were like friends I never knew I needed. Plus, the location is perfect-right near the iconic tower and close to the MRT. And you know what? The bunk beds were comfy and clean, making it perfect for a relaxing stay.
they felt a bit outdated. it would be awesome if they offered breakfast for early risers like me! I was bummed when I couldn't grab a coffee before my early flight. Just a little improvement could make a big difference!

The hostel is conveniently located, just a short walk from Taipei101 Subway Station and Liuzhangli MRT Station. We had a blast playing board games with friends in the common area. It was a fantastic way to relax and have fun together.
My children wanted more kid-friendly activities at the hostel.

I stayed at Formosa 101 for 6 nights during my trip to Taipei. The hostel is conveniently located near subway stations, Tonghua night market, a bakery, and 7-eleven. The staff is friendly and speaks English fluently. The AC, laundry machines, and free breakfast were especially convenient. The walking tours organized by the hostel were a great way to meet others and learn more about the city's history.
Strongly recommend this hotel.

I absolutely adored the charming and cozy decoration of the hotel. The beautiful artwork on the walls and the comfortable seating areas really made me feel at home. It was so wonderful to relax and chat with other travelers in such a warm and inviting atmosphere. Additionally, the hotel's location was perfect for senior people like me. It was conveniently accessible, with only a short walk to the nearby MRT station. This made it easy for me to explore the city and visit all the places I wanted to see.
I would have appreciated a bit more assistance from the children working there. While overall they were friendly, there was one instance where my request for a blanket was not addressed in a timely manner.

I had a fantastic weekend stay at this hotel. the beds were incredibly comfortable, ensuring a good night's sleep after a long day of exploring. Secondly, the staff were friendly and helpful, making me feel welcome throughout my stay. Additionally, the hotel's cleanliness was impressive, with everywhere being kept tidy and well-maintained. Moreover, the location was convenient, with easy access to both a nearby night market and a bus stop right in front of the hotel.
One aspect that could be improved is the distance from the train station. While it wasn't too far, it did take around 10 minutes or more to walk, which could be tiring after a long day.

The decoration in the common areas of the hotel was lovely. It had a warm and inviting atmosphere that made me feel comfortable and at ease during my stay. The chairs and tables were arranged in a way that was easy to navigate and there were plenty of spaces to relax and socialize with other guests. As a senior woman, I appreciated that the hotel was accessible with no stairs to climb and everything was within reach.
The only thing I would ask for a better vacation for senior people is for the children working there to be more attentive and considerate towards our needs.

We were lucky enough to become part of the Formosa 101 family and it seemed like home. The staff, especially Ann, Coke, and Vanessa, were friendly and cute. The hostel's location right across from the night and day market allowed us to experience the local culture and sample the delicious food. The MRT station was conveniently close, making it easy to explore Taipei. Despite the small common space, the hostel was clean and the showers had good water pressure. The staff even offered free weekly walking tours. we had a fantastic experience and highly recommend Formosa 101.

The location is convenient, with easy access to the efficient MRT system and cheap taxis. It's a great base for exploring the city, with easy access to morning or night hikes at Elephant mountain and proximity to the best clubs. the rooms are comfortable, and the staff goes above and beyond to make guests feel welcome and provide helpful information. There is a variety of facilities available, such as free tours, a social area, and a water dispenser with different temperature options.
The variety in breakfast could be improved.

The staff was friendly and helpful, always willing to assist with any inquiries or concerns. The location was convenient, with easy access to public transportation and a bus stop right in front of the hotel.- The room was clean and well-maintained, providing a comfortable stay.
The room I was assigned had no windows, which made it feel a bit claustrophobic and lacking natural light. The proximity to the nearest train station was a bit far, requiring a 10-minute or more walk, especially tiring after a long day of work.
